Maryam Salk is a collage artist and painter based in Los Angeles. She was raised in Dubai and studied Fine Art + Art History at the American University of Paris, later completing a degree in Interior Design at FIDM in Los Angeles.

Drawn to art from an early age, she began embracing her synesthesia to create collages that explore nostalgia, emotion and memory. She draws inspiration and materials from vintage magazines, breathing new life into old photographs.

Her love of the ocean interweaves itself in her process and her work— saturated hues and fluidity of form are recurring themes in her pieces, as well as nods to 80s and 90s popular culture and the city of Los Angeles where she is proud to call home.
